- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆My debit card was compromised and needed to be canceled. All good. in efforts to get a new one, everything at this branch from the manager was "no". When i pressed for options, it was, "well, yes but there's a fee associated with that". I stressed that I didn't care about a fee but it was all No. can I open a checking account and get a card on the spot for that? "But there's fees with a checking account". After I confirmed that my head hadn't exploded, I set up a new account and ordered a new debit card for my business. But that came in wrong too, tied to my new checking account instead of the business account. Bottom line is: As I told them at the bank, Peoples is bad for small business. I'm going to TD Bank North, where I can walk in and walk out with a new business checking, a shiny new business debit card and a Mobil banking app without "limitations".By James Toal, March 13, 2017
